Well lets see...
I've always been interested in art, but I'd never really done much, other than doodles in school margins. I only really started drawing last year (2011) when I did a Tafe course: Cert III in Media. I made quite a few friends there who have helped me learn to draw in the cartoon style that I prefer. I'm quite enjoying drawing and especially enjoy Character Design, mainly my first character Flinton Stiel.
From the Media course I decided that I wanted to go into 3D modeling and CGI and am currently enrolled in a Tafe CGI course that goes for 3 years.
I also enjoy reading and writing, I like to think that my years and years of doing nothing but reading novels has helped me become a good writer and so far nobody has really said otherwise :P
Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions or anything in my profile comments :)
Interests
The Lockpick is still my favorite story that I've attempted so, rather than starting a new story with my drawn characters (Flinton Stiel, Tobias Drake, Gale Sydney, etc.) I am going to come back and attempt to continue this.

Originally, this was just meant for me to practice writing, mainly violence, because I'd never written a long story before, just short, one page things. I haven't even tried writing in a while, other than one attempt at poetry, and anyone who watches my DeviantArt can see that I haven't done any drawing for a while either.
I'd like to say that it's because of tafe, but really I'm just lazy
Anyway, lately I've been trying out costuming as a hobby, started with an Edward Elric costly, realized an overweight, pimply and tall Ed would look a bit stupid and only got the automail forearm and glove finished. Then I went for a Veteran Ranger costume from Fallout: New Vegas both because it's awesome and because it has a mask so I don't get self-conscious. I managed to put together a version of it, however was not willing to build my own mask from scratch and didn't know what I was doing. I ended up with most of the main parts, a trench coat, gas mask (from ebay) and some foam plates glued to a shirt for the combat armour.

So now I've moved on from that too. Played through Halo 4 after borrowing it from a friend and then started looking at people who had built spartan armour. They were so awesome I looked into that as well. That was a couple of days ago, and I now realize that the design is a bit stupid and leaves the whole mid-section unprotected.

Okay so finally I thought, why not do my own costume? After some thought and research I decided on a black scaly coat (similar to what Wesker from Resident Evil wears, or Morpheus from Matrix), a full-face combat helmet (Basically a motorbike helmet, I guess similar to a spartan helmet) and some other stuff like big rubber boots, shoulder and forearm armour, and a belt with pouches.
After a bit of thinking I remembered the Lockpick and, either subconsciously or by coincidence, the costume resembled what I wrote the creature to wear, along with the armour pieces and helmet used by the "gladiators" including Jay Crinson, who fights the creature late in what I wrote. The coat kinda makes sense, because it was supposed to be re-formed from the doctors (ridiculously long) lab coat.

So with some more writing and some concept sketches I'll hopefully end up with "Lock", basically the creature using/wearing human technology.
Now to what I'll be doing:

I'll try and continue writing the Lockpick, putting more design and detail behind "Lock" (the creature) along with what this story is actually going to be, not just him systematically wiping out the human race one by one
I'll also be trying to put together this costume, sewing the coat, cutting the armour from metal and foam, and customizing a cheap motorbike helmet I'll try and find second hand.
Obviously to do the costume I'll need some sketches of this, I'll upload the sketches here and, hopefully, I'll end up with the most badass of all my characters

Thanks for any interest

Thanks :)
I'll probably need all the help I can get :P
Never really done anything like this, but I'll be making my own armoured leather aviator jacket, vest and cap as well as a revolver...
Can't really start it until I've finished my current project, hopefully in a week or so...
